The Power of Faith

“He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 17:20

Faith is believing in that which is unseen.

It is reassurance that no matter how violent the winds get or how turbulent the waves are, it will all be okay. It is knowing in your heart that God has your back through thick and thin. That being said, we humans have a very peculiar relationship with faith. When we don’t see results, we revert to our own understanding, fight for control, and bear the world’s burden. As a result, we slowly fall into a pit of self-despair, anxiety, and depression.

The key is to have faith in God and faith itself.

It is said in Matthew 17:20 that even if we have faith as little as a mustard seed, we can move mountains. How so?

Have you ever felt stagnant in your life? Thinking all your efforts are to no avail? Have you ever felt afraid of taking that next step and thinking to yourself…

“What if I fall?” When you should’ve been thinking, “What if I fly?”

Imagine the opportunities and blessings you missed because you didn’t have faith in God. The job you rejected because you were too afraid to change, a happy life with a healthy spouse just because you feared giving them another chance?

Living in fear is a slow, painful walk toward death. Why not choose a life lived in Christ and march with courage?

Faith fills you with hope, where you highlight not the negatives in your life; instead, you thank God for everything good. You feel happier and lighten all those around you. You begin to see opportunities instead of wallowing in sorrow. You are filled with a newfound zest for life and are excited for the new day.

Acknowledging the power of faith can change your life.

The only question is, are you willing to take the leap?
