Best Movies You Can Not Miss in 2018



The future is looking bright for movie fans. The 2019 edition of the annual Global Movie Theater Index report shows that there were 25,000 new screens added in 2019, with the top five countries for new construction being Russia, China, India, Japan and Vietnam. As we look closer at 2023 (when this year’s report was completed), it seems like a good time to take stock of what we can expect from Hollywood over the next 12 months. Here are our predictions for some of the most anticipated movies that will make their way into theaters over the next few years:

The Batman

The Batman is a superhero film that is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It will be released on July 10, 2023.

The film is directed by Matt Reeves and written by Matt Reeves, Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer.

Black Widow

Black Widow is the eighth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s a prequel to Avengers, which means it takes place before all of those other movies. Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, who has been around since Iron Man 2 (2010). The film also stars David Harbour from Stranger Things and Florence Pugh from Outlaw King!

It comes out on May 1st 2020

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a comedy/horror movie directed by Ivan Reitman and produced by Ivan Reitman. It is a sequel to Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989).

The story takes place in New York City, where four paranormal investigators–Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan and Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzman–are called upon to save the city from an evil force that threatens to destroy all humanity. The film stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones with Chris Hemsworth playing the lead villain Rowan North; Michael Kenneth Williams plays Detective Rick Hawkins; Andy Garcia plays Mayor Bradley Beal; Charles Dance plays Dr. Walter Peck; Matt Walsh plays Dr. Kevin Beckman; Ty Burrell plays Dr. Martin Heiss; Neil Casey plays Rowan’s assistant Rowan 1

Mortal Kombat

Release date: June 25, 2020

The movie is based on the popular fighting video game series of the same name and follows a group of warriors who must face off in a tournament. The film stars Jax (Jaiya), Liu Kang (Daniel Wu), Sonya Blade (Olivia Munn) and Johnny Cage (Liam Hemsworth). It will be directed by Kevin Tancharoen with a screenplay written by Greg Russo.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is based on a Marvel Comics character and will be released in theaters on February 12, 2023.

The movie stars Tony Leung as Jimmy Yang, who teams up with Shang-Chi (Fan Binbing) to stop The Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley) from taking over the world with his ten rings. Shang-Chi is no stranger to fighting alongside superheroes; he’s fought alongside Iron Fist, Wolverine and Spider-Man before!

Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage

Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage

Starring Tom Hardy, Venom 2 is the sequel to the 2018 movie that starred Tom Hardy. It will be directed by Michael Bay and released on May 1, 2023. The story takes place after the events of the first film where Venom has joined forces with Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) to fight against Dr. Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed) and Riot. In this movie, they are going to go up against Carnage who possesses his own symbiote suit which makes him even stronger than they are!
